ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM RENOVATION

The Klein family* lives in a two-story detached house. Their son Max* (10 years old) was born prematurely as a twin. His twin brother died after a few days.

Due to severe brain hemorrhages, there is a severe cerebral multiple disability.

Since installing a platform lift of the required size is not structurally feasible, the bathroom on the ground floor must be converted to be barrier-free. As the father is the sole breadwinner, the family cannot finance the necessary renovations even with the subsidy from the long-term care insurance.

The Franz Beckenbauer Foundation subsidized the renovation.
