Areas of fundingThe Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung provides individual case aid throughout Germany.The purpose of the foundation is to support people with disabilities and people who are ill, in need or have fallen into hardship through no fault of their own.Examples of our funding:- Household appliances and furniture- Stairlifts and elevators- Medical aids (wheelchairs, hearing aids, glasses etc.)- Mobility aids (bicycles adapted for people with disabilities etc.)- Purchase of vehicles adapted for people with disabilities- Therapies- Living costsIn addition, charitable (mildtätig) organisations under section 53 of the German Tax Code can also be supported. Beneficiaries must be legal persons under private law that can demonstrate recognition as charitable (mildtätig) on the basis of a valid notice (tax exemption notice) from the tax office.The foundation pursues exclusively and directly charitable (mildtätig) purposes within the meaning of the "tax-privileged purposes" section of the German Tax Code. The foundation acts selflessly; it does not pursue its own economic interests.Application principlesA grant from the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung is a voluntary benefit to which there is no legal entitlement. The Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung may refuse a funding application even without giving reasons.Assistance offered by the legislator or third parties must be exhausted before the foundation provides support (e.g. integration assistance under SGB IX, long-term care insurance or health insurance benefits).It is helpful to contact a social counselling centre (Diakonie, Caritas and similar). The social counselling centre can also submit an application to the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung on your behalf.Should funding applications change in substance or no longer be active, the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung must be informed without delay.Funding pledges are tied to their purpose and limited in time. Any request for an extension must be made in writing and confirmed. The Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung is entitled, for example, to reclaim equipment and vehicles if the funding is used for a different purpose. In the event of a reclaim, the recipient is obliged to arrange the refund without delay.Application informationAn application or the written description of the hardship can be submitted informally and in German to the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung, P.O. Box 70 02 20, 81302 Munich, or via online form.Please read our funding guidelines first!Once all necessary documents are available, the application is reviewed and a response is sent.Requested items or services may only be ordered after receiving a funding pledge from the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung. Payment to the invoicing party is only made on presentation of a copy of the invoice.There is no entitlement to a justification of refusals, nor is there any legal claim by the applicant to funding. Even where the funding guidelines are met, the foundation has no obligation to provide funding. The Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung decides at its own dutiful discretion and on the basis of the resources available to it. The Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung also reserves the right to provide funding outside the listed criteria, provided it is in line with the foundation's purpose.Cars – please noteUsed vehicles are subsidised under the following criteria:- maximum 5 years old- maximum 70,000 kmWhen financing a car, it makes sense to apply to several foundations at the same time and to submit the required documents promptly.Our pledges are granted on the condition that the overall financing is evidenced by donations/public funds — in the form of copies of the other pledges. Taking out additional credit is expressly excluded. Funding for a car is granted on the condition that the vehicle may not be sold within five years of purchase without the consent of the participating foundations. In the event of a sale the Franz Beckenbauer-Stiftung is entitled to reclaim the donation. This applies in particular if the person benefiting from the vehicle passes away. In addition, the vehicle must not be used for commercial purposes or otherwise misused. What is not fundedWe cannot provide funding for the following:- Debt repayment / extension of credit- Court and legal fees- Training and further education costs- Dental treatments- Operations and therapies abroad- Assistance dogs and their training- Private holiday trips- Funeral costs
